Translator

Hello! My name is Oksana Gerasymets. I am a Ukrainian currently residing in Latvia. As you can see, I am the translator who is doing English-Ukrainian translations under the banner «Ukrainian for you». I like my profession and have been doing it for the largest part of my working life. Here you can see my CV in detail.

I can also do proofreading and reviewing.

My native language is Ukrainian but I also do English-Russian translations. Besides e-mail and phone I have permament internet connection, so you can talk with me on Skype when I am not taking rest. I have also registered in freelance translators' marketplace Proz.com and here you can see my profile.

A lot of translation is done using moder Translation Memory (TM) software. It is not Machine translation since no software can produce satisfactory translations yet, but TM is very helpful for highly repetitive texts with a lot of specific terms. TM is a must to ensure terminology consistency throught the text. My favorite TM programm is Deja-Vu, but I am also familiar with Trados or SDLX.
